Edit

Mid (string, start, count [, boolInBytes])

Result Type: Text

Definition: Returns a substring of string starting at start of length count.

Examples:  Mid("Fish and chips", 6, 3)

returns “and”.

If boolInBytes is true or IN_BYTES (which is a constant with value true), then the start and count are regarded as byte offsets, not characters. This option should only be used when the string is known to be pure ASCII. It is much faster because it does not account for multibyte unicode characters.
