Changing Tax field on Invoice Layout

Post by Scoop » 25 Mar 2013 13:40

I've been trying to change my invoice layout to read GST vs the old HST and of course have the correct tax amount. It's just not working!!
I need some help please - What should I be putting in the data fields to make things work?

You don't need to change the invoice layout (unless you have hardcoded it yourself in some manner).

What you need to do (something we overlooked in the instructions, but will update) is, once all your HST invoices have been printed, go to Edit>Document Preferences and, in the Locale tab, change your locale from BC to PE. This is because the fact that BC has HST is currently built into MoneyWorks, as is the fact that PEI have GST+PST. So changing the locale to PE will tell MoneyWorks that you have PST+GST for any invoices printed.

However this does mean if you want to re-print an old HST invoice, you will need to change the locale back to BC (and revert it to PE once complete).
