If you are getting unrecoverable errors such as "out of disk space" (and you have plenty of disk space), or -36 errors, there is a good chance that this is because you are using your MoneyWorks document on a file server.

If you don't want these kinds of problems, there is a very simple solution: don't use your Moneyworks document on a file server. File server connections are simply not reliable enough to serve database-type files. Plus, the network connection to the file server will always be slower than a local hard disk.

Usually the reason given for storing a file on a file server is "because it gets backed up". In that case, you should still use the file on your local hard disk and use the built -in backup reminder to save a backup onto the file server.
