Use Detail.shipped quantity to print separate labels for each line item

Post by andym » 04 Oct 2018 11:40

I need to put a master carton label on every box we ship. The label needs to show product.code, barcode, etc. That part is easy. BUT I need to also include elements from the sales order we are shipping against such as the quantity of each item shipped. Any ideas how to get the detail line item quantity and stock code to generate product labels or address labels? I tried using the copies function to look up the transaction sequence and return the detail stock codes and shipped quantities- beyond me.....maybe "expand detail" to look up the stockcode and quantity....... any clues or help would be appreciated. Best regards Andy

According to the manual at https://www.cognito.co.nz/manual/moneyw ... tml#manual

"If you give the form a name that ends in “by detail line”, the form will print once for each detail line on a transaction. This allows you (for example) to print an individual price label for each line item of an invoice (or, if you set the copies function to Detail.StockQty, a label for each item receipted). This type of form must not have a list in it."

So maybe that will solve the problem, assuming you want one label for line of the sales order.
