New to MW Gold 5 & form designer

Post by KAIZEN » 30 Jun 2012 02:30

Hello there,

Just moving from PC and MOA to MAC and MW Gold 5.
I need to customise the forms in MW Gold and cannot find anywhere to open form designer.

I've looked a that tutorial and the instruction book, but not got the answers

Help please? Can you direct me where to get more info.

PS - disappointingly I bought the software from Apple (thinking reputable etc) have V5 and am very disappointed in the 'clunky' feel of the software....

First off, you should email Cognito a copy of the invoice/receipt you received from Apple when you purchased MoneyWorks as you might be eligible for a free upgrade to MoneyWorks 6.

For help on modifying a form, look at page G349 - G350 of the MoneyWorks 5 manual (the chapter heading is "Forms Designer").

While MW is a great product, the forms designer is a nightmare. It is like something out of the DOS generation and, frankly, has no place in the modern world. It is very unintuitive for the average user and in the end is just too hard. Surely this could be replaced with an application offering a WYSIWYG interface?
