SubTotal in Quotes & Invoice window

Post by Synergy » 17 Jul 2012 20:46

Being New to MW I've been unable to find out how to insert a subtotal in a quote or invoice.
Is this possible? So in a quote or Invoice of 100+ items i want to show or see the charge to the customer based on groups of items that are like.

Yes I am curious of this particular function. I have had queries from my customers previously if they were billing/quoting their customers for a long list of items which fit into categories (e.g carpentry, Piping, Masonry etc), could they subtotal the amount due for these groups of items?

You can't do this on the entry screen, but only when the transaction is printed as an invoice/quote or whatever. It is tricky to do in the Forms Designer, but much easier if you use the report writer -- just save it in the "Plain/Invoice" folder in your Custom Plug-ins.
