Sales Analysis Reports

Post by BarbNZP » 26 Aug 2013 16:57

I have noted that the Unit Price field in sales analysis reports relates to the average of the number of orders and not the quantities, even credit notes get added as orders. e.g 1st order 100items @ $10.00 2nd order 10 items @ $12.00 gives a $11.00 Unit Price. Actual average is $10.18. Does anyone else have a problem with this field not showing a true average.

It is showing the average cost of the items sold at the time they were sold, not the current average.

So you may have sold 99 items at a cost of $10 (ie out of the first batch purchased) and then purchased 10 more at $12, giving an avg cost now of $11.82. Then if you sold another 1 at avg cost 0f $11.82 the otal average cost for all items sold would then be $11.009
