date error in bank reconciliation

Post by jpg178 » 20 Nov 2011 09:38

I am working with Money Works Express v. 5.3.2 using a Mac with Snow Leopard. I need to reverse/remove/redo a bank reconciliation due to an error in the date. When I moused down to enter the closing balance the date changed to 12-10-07 without me noticing. I completed the reconciliation and finalized it. When I tried to do the next reconciliation there were no unposted transactions to reconcile. How can I correct the date on this reconciliation?

I think you just change the date to what it should be on the next bank reconciliation -- it won't have affected the items that you ticked off on the current one, but will show more in the unpresented section. The reconciliation itself, assuming it had a zero difference at the end, will be OK.
